Over the coming years, a new housing development encompassing 3,200 houses will be built to the east of Veenendaal. The development will be divided into three sections, each with its own character and feel: Groenpoort (north), Buurtstede (centre) and Veenderij (south).
For the benefit of future residents and interested parties, development company Ontwikkelingsbedrijf Veenendaal-East (OVO) commissioned the build of an information centre, situated on a unique site on the water: a special peninsula has been constructed on which to house the information centre.
Designed and erected by De Meeuw, the information centre welcomes visitors into an open mezzanine loft space, featuring a model of the future housing development. The upper level houses the Ontwikkelingsbedrijf Veenendaal-East office.
The first pole has already been symbolically placed in the ground, and building work is set to commence at the end of November.
